International copywriter at Marks & Spencer
Ellie writes editorial and marketing copy for a host of global audiences. As the international voice of Marks & Spencer, Ellie’s job is to educate and inspire customers who have never heard of the famed British brand and introduce them to its products and values. From which backpack to buy in Australia this season to the latest in-store food deal in Ireland, adaptability and versatility are Ellie’s key skills. Before joining Marks & Spencer, Ellie was the sole copywriter for women’s occasionwear brand Phase Eight, playing an integral role in the successful launch of sister brand Studio 8.
Tesco was her first home, however. Ellie climbed the ranks from weekly-contract freelancer to dedicated menswear copywriter, providing product and editorial copy for the growing F&F brand. Ellie has also enjoyed roles at one of London’s leading restaurant PR agencies and several start-ups.
